Hi we're back and enjoying the comments. We are happy for all those of you who have a snow day. Jeff told us on the phone it was bad back there. Hopefully they will get the roads cleared early and people can get around. We only got 1 inch here.
Kel & Nate ~ Nick was inMonterey CA last week Mon-Thurs. on business. He said it rained everyday. Is it still? Kel did you share the blogspot with Amy. We'll take prayers from New Zealand too. I am going to email my friend Beverly in London and we already let Thomas know in Germany. We may as well get the whole world in on praying for Seth and his COMPLETE recovery. Isn't God amazing how he networks people together, and teaches us how to love. He says the world will know you are my disciples by the love you have one for another. You all have poured out the most amazing a undescribable love onto this young man and on us. What you have done for us is Eternal. Our lives will never be the same.
With the storms of life we have just passed through of buring 2 of my parents just 5 weeks apart and Seth getting so sick at the same time, we have in some ways been crushed (wind blown) BUT not destroyed. The winds were strong, but we have stood and now just over the horizon the sun is stating to break through. It is your love and your prayers that have supenaturally carried us through. We know we have another surgery for Seth ahead of us in just 12 weeks but together we will see the rainbow!
Seth is almost finished with the first unit of blood and all is well. He is sleeping through most of it.
A man just came in and told me they have made arrangements for the In Home Nursing Care for Seth when we get back to Illinois, they have also made arrangements for all of the suppplies we will need. That is a great releif to know it's taken care of. They are still working on getting all the paperwork filled out and faxed back to PCS so Seth can have a tutor. We have been waiting on this paperwork for almost a week and a half. I have asked for help to get this done. Maybe today we'll see results. Seth brought his homework and books with him to the hospital. I don't know if he'll be able to pick any of them up and actually concentrate to study ~ but maybe in a few days. He really doesn't want to get behind in his studies or have his grades suffer. He's starting to stir a bit so I'll close for now.
P.S. Gale your comments cracked us up! Ruthi thanks for the pic. Love Vickie

Seth and family,

Just wanted you to know that we are praying for you and consider it an honor to do so. Lidia is right in that I did contact my family in NY to be praying. I also contacted family in Colorado and Michigan. Every little bit helps!!

Be well and come back to Illinois as soon as you are able. We are enjoying the snow day here and will pray that your Dad can get back to you safely as soon as he is able.

hi vic and seth,

if you need our van to transport seth comfortably back to illinois, let us know and we'd be glad to switch you vehicles for however long you need. it has leather bucket seats so it should be comfy enough for him. when the time comes and you need to use it, let us know and we can arrange to meet jeff, noah, or nick and make the switch.
lots of love and prayers your way!

Hi Seth & Vickie! Don't know why I am having trouble sending you messages. Maybe the third time will work. I am so grateful you can share in this way. I pray the transfusion is over by now and you are feeling more comfortable. Deb said she has talked with you and filled me in. Call me if I can help with anything. Love you lots, Karen

Hey Guys,
Sounds like things have been going pretty well, That's great! Hope you are feeling better all the time.
There were a lot of happy kids around here with the snow day. Rick and Shannon are snowed in until "Farmer" can get over there with his tractor to clear the driveway. Mandy is working from home, and Meredith didn't leave until noon. He did a conference call from here this morning then went to pack some things up for North Carolina. He's going to be down there all next week.
I managed to make it as far as the mailbox. Real adventurous:)
We continue to pray for you and check this blog several times a day. Glad that the heavy snow was more to the south and east so Jeff and the boys don't have to drive through so much of it to get back there.
Keep getting better, and we'll check in later.
Love,
Sherry
